'Kalki 2898 AD' Will Not Be Released Without Removing These 2 Words! Know What Else The Censor Board Changed

GlowDeepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani starrer 'Kalki 2898 A.D.' has been passed by the censor board. The film, which is being released in Telugu and Hindi, has been given a U/A certificate by the CBFC. However, a copy of the alleged certificate of the censor board is going viral online, which shows that the film has been approved by the committee, but two changes have been made in it. The run time of the film is also said to be a little less than three hours. Our colleague Times of India shared a fan post regarding the certificate and told that the censor board wants to make some minor changes in 'Kalki 2898 A.D.' The certificate reads, 'Insert a disclaimer with a voice over in the beginning that this film is fictional and is not intended to hurt any religion.' Apart from this, there is no instruction to cut any kind of scene or change any dialogue in the film.

The censor board asked to remove two words

The certificate mentions the deletion of two words, 'Remove the word 'VD' while referring to Kaal Bhairava. Also the subtitle text (replace with Devudu). It also asks for the addition of 2898 AD along with '6000 years after Mahabharata'. Without this change, the producers will not be able to release the film.

Kalki is the 10th incarnation of Lord Vishnu

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film is three hours 56 seconds long. In the film, Prabhas will be seen in the avatar of Kalki, the 10th incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who will incarnate at the end of Kalyug and destroy the sinners. Deepika is playing the role of Padma and Amitabh is playing the role of Ashwatthama. Kamal Haasan will be seen in a negative role.

Pre-release event of 'Kalki 2898 A.D.'

On June 19, a pre-release event of 'Kalki 2898 AD' was held in Mumbai, in which Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan were seen. Bhallaladeva i.e. Rana Daggubati, who worked with Prabhas in 'Bahubali', also attended this event. As soon as Deepika was seen flaunting her baby bump, her pictures and videos went viral.

This year's Indian epic dystopian science action film is releasing in theaters. You can watch it on 27 June 2024. Earlier it was scheduled to release on 9 May, but due to incomplete post production work, it was postponed and shifted to June.
