Telugu superstar Jr NTR's action-drama 'Devra: Part 1' has taken the box office by storm. This has become the biggest solo release of the actor's career. The film, which was released in theaters with a huge advance booking of Rs 38.84 crore, has earned a bumper collection of more than Rs 140 crore worldwide on the first day. Jr NTR has become the second Telugu superstar after his co-star Prabhas whose film has made over Rs 100 crore on the first day. However, it could not defeat Kalki in 2898 AD. Jr NTR plays a dual role in 'Devra: Part 1' directed by Koratala Siva. While he is also accompanied by stars like Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Prakash Raj. The budget of the film is Rs 300 crore and if the earnings with which it has come to the theaters continue week after weekend, the film will create new records at the box office.

First day box office collection of 'Devra'
On Friday, a huge craze regarding 'Devra' was seen in South India. According to the report of SACNILC, the film has made a net collection of Rs 77 crore at the domestic box office on the first day, including all five languages. Of this, the highest earning of Rs 68.60 crore has been made from the Telugu version. The occupancy of the film has been around 80% from morning to late night shows in Telugu states.

'Devra' earned only Rs 7 crore in Hindi
The performance of 'Devra' in languages other than Telugu has been average. To break the record, it will have to earn better in the Hindi belt. The film has earned only Rs 7 crore from the Hindi version on the first day. While there has been a business of Rs 80 lakh from Tamil, Rs 30 lakh from Malayalam and Rs 30 lakh from Kannada.
