Is China ready to befriend India on the moon? Know what is Russia's plan on the nuclear plant

New Delhi: Whether they meet on earth or not, India and China can join hands on the moon. Russia's state news agency TASS has said that India and China are planning to set up a nuclear power plant on the moon along with Russia. According to TASS, Alexey Likhachev, the head of Russia's nuclear energy company Rosatom, has told about this. Likhachev said at the Eastern Economic Forum held in Vladivostok, Russia that India and China are showing a lot of interest in joining this project. He said, 'Our Chinese and Indian partners are showing a lot of interest in this with the participation of the international community.' India wants to send humans to the moon by 2040 and wants to build its base there. In such a situation, India's interest in this project becomes important.

According to TASS, this power plant being built under the leadership of Rosatom will generate half a megawatt of electricity. This electricity will be used for the base being built on the moon. Likhachev said that China and India are eager to join this unprecedented project. Russia's space agency Roscosmos had announced the start of work on this project in May itself. This reactor will provide energy to the base being built on the moon, on which Russia and China are working together. India also wants to build its base on the moon and hence it can also join this project.

Building a nuclear power plant on the moon would be a difficult task. Russia has already said that this work will be done without any human help, with the help of autonomous robots. Russia and China announced in 2021 to build a joint base on the moon, which will be called the International Lunar Research Station (ILRS). It will become operational in a phased manner between 2035 and 2045.
