– How do you look back at your acting career, which you started with the film I Am Kalam?

I would not like to give credit to that journey because many other people had a hand in that film like the film's director Neela Madhab Panda, my parents. After coming to Mumbai, my look changed, things changed, things are very different from the time I lived in Delhi, yes I would like to give credit for this to myself. But yes, the journey has been very beautiful. It is a great experience to get love and such projects despite not being from the film industry, not having any background. There are many actors, shows are available, films are made but the things that connect with people and force you to love, such things are only available because of God. I am happy with all this.

– You are from Delhi and you made a name for yourself by going to Mumbai. What message would you like to give to your fans in Delhi?

What message should I send! All these friends send messages with a lot of love, I feel very good when they say that you went to Mumbai, earned so much fame, we are very happy to see you. I just want to say that if you have come to Mumbai, then whatever work you are doing, have patience. Patience is the biggest weapon you can use. If you have patience and you are precise in one thing then you will definitely get success.

Was there ever a time when you lost your courage?

This happened once before I came to Mumbai and now I feel that this is a very good time, you learn the most in it. Right now good things are going on in life but not everyone has a good time. Things keep going up and down. Even if you are struggling at that time, many questions come to your mind, but at that time you work on yourself, then you get a little away from the world, understand yourself. This is a very beautiful time for an artist if it is used properly.

– Did you face any problems after coming to Mumbai?

It keeps coming. I think who is there who has never faced any problems! Nowadays all actors start crying about their problems. But I feel strange because whoever has come from outside has not come with a silver spoon in his mouth. I don't want to talk about that. I want to talk about the kind of person I am, how I have been able to stand out, the kind of things I have been doing. I have slept on the streets, have made a living by eating vada pav, everyone is saying that. What is different in that! I think some people even lie because people connect with it. But today's generation is very sensible. They know that okay, everyone is struggling. You tell me what fun did you have during that time, how did you survive? What was the thing that kept you safe?

– In the fourth season of Gullak, you are seen in a changed style and people are liking it a lot. So tell us about it?

First of all, I never thought that such a great show would be made. I thought the script was good but reaching out to people, settling in their minds, is not in our hands, it is natural. I cannot tell you that the kind of love, the kind of messages, mails, video messages that are coming after the release of the fourth season, you are happy with it but you do not know how to respond. You can only fold your hands in front of them. Many shows and films are made but doing a show with someone, remembering him, remembering his dialogues is a great experience. In my childhood, I used to wonder which are these films whose dialogues people repeat. And today when I hear people speaking the dialogues of my show, it feels as if something magical has happened. Today, if such a project touches people, then the biggest reason for it is that our India is like a piggy bank. Many people are connected to it and many people make their lives in it. That is why this show gets love at that level.

-During this time you also got married. So does this also affect the life of an actor?

I think everything is good in an actor's life. My wife manages me and takes care of my work. If you are with the right person, it is beneficial. Of course, there is no good or bad in relationships. But you get a perspective and it guides you.
