Talwar may join the Navy by November

The first guided missile frigate of the third batch of Talwar class being built in Russia can join the Indian Navy by November. It weighs more than 3600 tonnes. 180 sailors can travel up to 9000 kilometres in it. This frigate is equipped with Brahmos missile.

Guided missile destroyer will be available this year

By the end of this year, the fourth and last guided missile destroyer of the Visakhapatnam class will join the Indian Navy. This destroyer weighs 7400 tonnes and is equipped with Brahmos missiles, which are long-range missiles. It also has 32 Barak missiles which can strike up to 100 kilometers. It also has rockets and torpedoes to deal with enemy submarines.

Frigate Nilgiri will also join the Navy

The Indian Navy will also get the first guided missile frigate Nilgiri of the Nilgiri class this year, which weighs 6670 tonnes and is equipped with eight Brahmos missiles. It is also equipped with Barak missiles, rockets and torpedoes. This is the first anti-submarine warship of the Mahe class, which will be inducted into the Navy in November, to target enemy submarines. It is capable of detecting and destroying submarines in shallow waters near the coast. It is also equipped with torpedoes as well as modern sonar systems.

Kalvari class submarine will also be included

The sixth and last submarine of the Kalvari class will join the Navy in November, which can seat 43 people and can stay underwater for 50 days. This submarine can travel up to 12000 kilometers at a time. Apart from this, the second ship of the large survey ship of the Sandhyayak class, which conducts underwater research, will join the Navy by the end of this year. Along with this, Diving Support Vessel and Diving Support Craft will also join the Navy by the end of this year to help submarines trapped in distress at sea.
