With this, Team India qualified for the Super 8 by defeating the host team by 7 wickets. Nitish then hit a brilliant six and a four in the straight over against Hardik while Corey Anderson (15), who has played for New Zealand, sent Akshar's ball into the crowd. After giving 32 runs in the last three overs, Indian captain Rohit Sharma handed the ball to Arshdeep and this bowler sent aggressive batting Nitish to the pavilion. Siraj took a brilliant catch near the boundary. Anderson hit a four against Bumrah while Harmeet Singh (10) increased the run rate by hitting a six. Hardik gave a double blow to America by dismissing Anderson in the 17th over while Arshdeep dismissed Harmeet in the 18th over. Both of them were caught by Rishabh Pant behind the wicket. America's century of runs was completed in the same over with a run from Shadley van Schalkwyk (11 not out). He contributed to taking the score to 110 runs by hitting a four against Siraj in the last over.
