IND vs BAN: 'I don't want to be like anyone…' roared the fast bowler before the India-Bangladesh series

New Delhi. Bangladesh's young fast bowler Nahid Rana, who played a key role in the historic 2-0 victory in the Test series against Pakistan, is now eyeing the series against India. The 21-year-old fast bowler is capable of bowling at a speed of 150 kilometers per hour consistently. He took four wickets for 44 runs in the second Test match against Pakistan in Rawalpindi.

Bangladesh Cricket has shared a video on Twitter in which Rana said, “Certainly we are well prepared for the series against India. We have started practice. The more we practice, the more prepared we will be for the match. India has a very good team but the team that plays well will win.”

Rana further said, “Before going on the Pakistan tour, I had said that I want to achieve something for my country and I am happy that I lived up to what was expected of me. I do not want to be like anyone and want to create my own identity. I want to make my mark as Nahid Rana of Bangladesh. I have not tried to copy any particular bowler.”

Rana made his Test debut against Sri Lanka in March this year and in this match he caught people's attention by bowling at a speed of more than 150 kilometers per hour. He also performed impressively against Pakistan. Let us tell you that the first Test match between India and Bangladesh will be played in Chennai from September 19, where the pitch is expected to be bouncy.
