IND Vs BAN: A player playing in the Kanpur Test, who has faced a ban in the fixing case, has also been accused of murder…

New Delhi. This all-rounder from Bangladesh took 4 wickets in the Kanpur Test match against India and with this left Harbhajan Singh behind. Now he has taken 712 wickets in international cricket. Shakib Al Hasan is at 15th place in terms of taking most wickets in all three formats (Test, ODI, T20). But do you know that Shakib, who pushed Harbhajan Singh to number 16, was banned a few years ago on charges of match fixing. Not only this, clouds of suspicion are also looming over Shakib's return home because a case of murder has been registered against him.

Today we will talk about Shakib Al Hasan, who has announced his retirement from Test cricket just a few days ago. Shakib wants to say goodbye to this oldest format of cricket by playing a test match against South Africa in Mirpur. It is a different matter that due to the environment of Bangladesh and especially the allegations against Shakib Al Hasan, the cricket board is not guaranteeing his/her safety. The Board has put the ball in the government's court. This is not the first time that the board does not want to take any responsibility on Shakib Al Hasan's case. The career of this cricketer has been full of controversies. Be it misbehaving with the umpire and opposing players or threatening the groundsman, Shakib's name is found everywhere.

The biggest stain on Shakib Al Hasan's career is the ban imposed on him. In 2019, ICC had banned Shakib Al Hasan for one year in the match fixing case. Shakib was accused of violating the ICC Anti-Corruption Code not once but twice. First in the trination series played in Bangladesh and then in the IPL match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab, the bookie had contacted Shakib to fix the match. According to the rules, Shakib should have informed this to the concerned ICC officials. He did not do this and hence he was banned.

Apart from all the controversies on the cricket field, Shakib is also an accused in a murder case in Bangladesh.
