Why are houses not built on top of houses in this village?
There are many stories prevalent in the village behind not building houses above the houses. The villagers believe that if any family in this village builds more than one floor, then he and his family have to face many problems. The villagers told that till now three families in this village had tried to build houses with more than one floor, after which their families started getting affected badly. Everyone started dying one after the other.
What stories do the villagers tell?
The local people of the village say that about 700 years ago a person named Bhomiya lived here. One day he came to know that some people had come to the village, who were not from the village but thieves. After which Bhomiya tried to chase away all the thieves alone, but the number of thieves was more, due to which he was completely injured.
To save his life, Bhomiya hid on the second floor of his father-in-law's house, but the thieves followed him and reached there. After which the thieves slit Bhomiya's throat. When Bhomiya's wife came to know about this incident, she cursed the villagers that if anyone in the village builds a house or room on the second floor of his house, then he will be ruined. After which the villagers started shying away from building a second floor.
After the second floor was built, 9 sons died
A villager said, a person living here had built a second floor for his sons 40 to 45 years ago, but they could not live happily in this village. One by one, everyone died. The surprising thing was that this person had 9 sons, none of whom survived.
Bhomiya ji's temple is famous in this village
When the thieves cut Bhomiya's throat and where his head fell, there is now a temple there. The villagers respect it a lot. The faith of the people here is attached to this temple. Worship is done here on every Chaturthi. Apart from this, the people of the village believe that whenever any crisis comes upon the village, Bhomiya ji protects them.
