'About 190-200 films are made every year in Hindi cinema'

He further said, 'Around 190-200 films are made in Hindi cinema in a year. Then there are South films, so many films have only 8 to 12 actors, so why should we fight over who is number one and who is not, everyone has work. The whole idea is to just work.'

“This is the first time in my life that I heard someone say that.”

Akshay further said, 'Many people have a problem with why I am doing 4 films in a year. I don't understand this. For the first time in my life I heard someone saying why are you working so much. Have you ever heard such a question that why do you work? I do 4 films in a year and people have a problem with this.' Apart from this, Akshay Kumar also expressed concern over the current situation of film reviews. Accepting that ratings and stars can be bought, Akshay also revealed that he gives more importance to the criticism of only a few critics.

He said, 'Being in the industry for so long you become thick skinned, nothing affects you, but the most important thing is when someone like a critic talks about it. I accept it and respect it. Being in the industry you get to know who is a good critic and who is not. We know there are things that people buy, there are stars you can buy. When I read good critics, I understand, but anyone can come here, it has become very messed up.'
