New Delhi. Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has made a revelation about head coach Rahul Dravid. Rohit says that he had tried to convince Dravid to remain the head coach, but he was not successful. Rohit Sharma said this on the eve of his first match of the T20 World Cup 2024 against Ireland. India and Ireland teams will clash in the 8th match of the World Cup on Wednesday. This match will be played from 8:00 PM Indian time. Both the teams have clashed once in the T20 World Cup 15 years ago.
Rohit Sharma told in the press conference on Tuesday how he tried to stop Rahul Dravid. According to Rohit, 'I tried to convince him to remain the coach, but he was not ready. Dravid was my first international captain. He is a great role model. I cannot see him leaving Team India.' Dravid confirmed on Monday that he will not extend his tenure as India's head coach.
