Several human rights organizations have expressed concern over the enforced disappearance of Jamil Omar, a social leader from Balochistan province.

On Friday, the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) issued a statement expressing deep concern over reports of missing Baloch civil society activist Jameel Umar.

According to the HRCP statement posted on Twitter, “Jamil Omar was traveling to Turbat when unidentified gunmen opened fire on his car and abducted him. We demand their immediate recovery and identification of the attackers and bringing them to justice.”

Internationally, the Balochistan Human Rights Council (HRCB), a non-profit organization active in Balochistan, Sweden and France, released a statement detailing the kidnapping of Jameel Umar, deputy convenor of Turbat Civil Society. Well-known social worker.

The incident reportedly occurred when Jameel was traveling from Kolwah towards Turbat near Balur. Her friend Sana Baloch was also with her. Sources say that armed assailants riding a motorcycle opened fire on his vehicle and forcibly abducted him.

Another social rights organization, Human Rights Department of Baloch National Movement strongly condemned the abduction of Jameel Umar by armed persons.

The organization termed this brutal attack on social workers as a gross violation of human rights and demanded their immediate release. He also called for holding those responsible accountable.

Forced abductions and extrajudicial killings, allegedly by security forces, continue to occur regularly in Pakistan. These incidents happen frequently in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The incident occurred when Pashteen were attempting to travel to Turbat from the Chaman border in Balochistan province in December last year. He was also arrested immediately after the open firing incident.

According to a report by The Express Tribune in December last year, the incident occurred when Pashteen was attempting to travel from Chaman to Turbat, where he was to address participants in a protest.
