A former user reported receiving a message that read, “Hello! I am the CJI and I have an important Collegium meeting and I am stuck in Cannaught Place. Can you send me Rs 500 for a cab? I will return the money after reaching the court.” The message ended with the words 'send from iPad'. In response to the fraud incident, the Supreme Court, acting on the direction of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, filed a formal complaint with the Cyber ​​Crime Cell on August 27. The Cyber ​​Crime Cell is now investigating the matter to identify and nab the culprit behind the scam.
