These dates will be – 4th October and 5th October. Your school will remain closed on both these dates, whether the school is government or private. This decision has been taken in view of the voting for Haryana Assembly elections. In this regard, written orders have also been issued by the district administrations of the respective districts.
According to the order, schools will remain closed in Haryana on 4 and 5 October 2024 in view of the assembly elections. All private and government schools will be kept closed. Because polling stations have been set up in schools only.

Haryana Elections: Voting on 5th, then why schools closed for two days?
However, the voting date for Haryana Assembly Elections 2024 is 5 October 2024. But schools will be closed a day earlier. Because the schools which have been made polling stations, they will be completely prepared a day in advance. Due to which schools have to be closed on Friday and Saturday.
Classes will be held in schools on October 3. After this, preparations for polling stations in schools will be started from the evening itself. According to the first schedule, examinations were to be held in government schools of Haryana on October 4. But due to elections, the date of these examinations has been extended. According to the notice issued by the Directorate of Education, now these examinations will be conducted on 9 October 2024.
Haryana Assembly Elections 2024: Voting on 5 out of 90 seats
Assembly elections are to be held on a total of 90 seats in Haryana. Voting is taking place in the entire state on the same day on 5th October. According to Election Commission data, the number of voters in Haryana is 2.1 crore. Of these, 1.6 crore men, 95 lakh women, 4.52 lakh youth are going to vote for the first time. The election results of both the states of Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir will come simultaneously on 8 October 2024.
