When will flight operations start from the new terminal?
According to a senior AAI official, aircraft operations will start from the new terminal of Gwalior Airport from April 2, 2024. On April 2, all operations from Gwalior Airport will be shifted from the old terminal to the new terminal. After which, the allowance of Gwalior Airport will increase by about seven times. It is noteworthy that Gwalior Airport, spread over an area of ​​about 20 thousand square meters, has been constructed at a cost of Rs 496 crore.

According to AAI, the new terminal of Gwalior Airport, built in a record time of 16 months, will handle the movement of about 20 lakh passengers annually. Parking arrangements for about 600 cars have been made in the newly constructed terminal building along with 16 check-in counters. For which cities will direct flight connectivity be available?
According to the summer schedule 2024 implemented by the Director General of Civil Aviation from April 1, 4 airlines will operate 18 flights to 6 cities from Gwalior Airport. Airlines operating flights from Gwalior airport include Akasa Air, Air India Express, Alliance Air and Indigo Airlines. Akasa Air will operate a total of 6 flights from Gwalior between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

At the same time, Air India Express will operate six flights from Gwalior Airport between Bengaluru, Delhi and Hyderabad. All these flights of Air India Express will be daily.
