Government scheme for daughters of UP: Get the registration done before the first birthday, you will get Rs 2 lakh, Bhagya Gaharpuivanam Lakshmi Yojana

Under Bhagya Laxmi Yojana, the UP government gives a bond of fifty thousand rupees at the time of birth of a girl child. This bond gives maturity of Rs 2 lakh on the 21st birthday of the girl child. At the time of birth of a girl child, financial assistance of Rs 5100 is given to the mother. The government gives this amount to prevent female foeticide and for the education of the girl child. A total assistance of Rs 23 thousand is provided for the girl's education. This financial assistance is not lump sum but is given in instalments. This money is sent directly to their bank account. However, this benefit is given only to a maximum of two girls born in the same family. If there are more daughters than this, this help is not available in their name. The amount given for the girl's education is given in phases, financial assistance of Rs 3,000 is given on taking admission in class 6th, financial assistance of Rs 5,000 is given to the girl child on taking admission in class 8th and financial assistance of Rs 5,000 is given on taking admission in intermediate i.e. 10th. But the daughter is given financial assistance of Rs 7,000. Please note that this benefit is only for the residents of UP. In this, documents like Aadhar card of parents and child, ration card, birth certificate of child, income certificate, caste certificate, address proof, bank account passbook, mobile number and passport size photo are required.

Download the form, take a print out of it and fill the correct information. Go to Anganwadi Center or Women and Child Development Office along with photo copies of the above documents and submit them.
