Google opens applications for this year's startup accelerator program in India

Google on Thursday said it has opened applications for this year's 'Startup Accelerator: AI First' program in India.

The program will provide three months of equity-free support to startups solving problems and use cases using artificial intelligence (AI) in various industries.

“The Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First is one of the many accelerator programs we offer throughout the year around the world, using AI, machine learning (ML) and cloud technology to tackle some of the problems facing early-stage startups. Bringing the best of Google to startups. The most urgent global challenges,” the tech giant said in a blogpost.

Selected startups will receive guidance on building human-centered and responsible AI solutions and access to the Google Mentor Network.

They will also receive training on design, marketing and leadership, and access to tech stack credits and cutting-edge AI tools.

The company mentioned that only startups based in India, using AI in their core solution or product, including generic AI, and preferably between Seed to Series A stages, are eligible to apply.

Google said, “The Google for Startups Accelerator program has enabled startups to solve systemic challenges using AI, and this focus has now been further sharpened to include startups that are building generative AI-based “Using larger language models for solutions.”
