In recent developments regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict, there are indications of a potential ceasefire and hostage exchange before March 10. The Israeli delegation, led by Mossad Chief David Barnea and Shin Bet Director Ronen Bar, has returned to Jerusalem after extensive mediation talks in Paris and Cairo involving US, Qatar, and Egyptian officials.

Informal briefings from Mossad Chief Barnea suggest that a ceasefire is likely before March 10, coinciding with the beginning of the Ramadan month. According to sources from the Israel Defense Ministry, Hamas seems to be accepting most of Israel’s proposed suggestions, which include the release of all hostages, including the deceased.

In the event that the negotiated deal does not materialize, Israel has conveyed to the mediators its readiness to escalate its ground offensive in the Rafah area of the Gaza Strip. This region is densely populated, particularly with women and children.

Additionally, Israel has agreed to the rehabilitation of displaced Palestinians from northern Gaza, as per available information.

The negotiations involved key figures, with the Israeli delegation represented by David Barnea and Ronen Bar, and counterparts from Qatar, including Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Chief of the Central Intelligence Agency William Burns, and Egyptian Intelligence Chief Abbas Kamel.
