Today on 2nd October we are celebrating the birth anniversary of the great leader and freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi. He was one of the most respected leaders of the 19th century. We all have gathered here on the special occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. I also pay my respect and tribute to Gandhiji. Today the whole country is remembering and remembering him.

Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869 in Porbandar, Gujarat. People also respectfully called him Bapu. This day has been declared a national festival by the Government of India. Mahatma Gandhi's strength was truth and non-violence. He always taught us to follow the path of truth and non-violence.
Mahatma Gandhi followed this path and liberated the country by taking on the British. Gandhiji also became the leader of many movements. Non-cooperation movement, Satyagraha, Dandi March and Quit India Movement, all these movements of Gandhiji shook the foundation of British rule in India.
