Free Balochistan Movement announces campaign against Pakistan Army's Operation Azm-e-Istehkam

The Free Balochistan Movement (FBM) has announced the launch of a social media campaign against the Pakistani military offensive, codenamed “Operation Azm-e-Istehkam”, which they claim was launched at the behest of China to commit genocide against the Baloch people.

The campaign will be run on social media platforms, especially “X” (formerly Twitter), on Thursday evening.

The movement has clarified that the hashtags #StopBalochAndPashtunGenocide and #ExpansionistChinaInstigatesBalochAndPashtunGenocide will be used to amplify their message during the campaign.

In a press statement, the organisation said, “Reports from Pakistani media and other sources indicate that the Pakistan Army is reportedly preparing to launch a large-scale Operation “Azm-e-Istehkam” to protect Chinese interests and investments.”

The Free Balochistan Movement claims that the operation is aimed at further intensifying the genocide against the Baloch people under the guise of achieving stability.

The Free Balochistan Movement's campaign aims to raise global awareness of the security situation in Balochistan, convey its concerns to international powers, and expose the misleading portrayal of Balochistan's independence struggle.

“The aim of this campaign is to expose a huge and bloody conflict waged by Pakistan to suppress the freedom struggle of the Baloch nation,” the FBM statement said.

The movement has called upon all Baloch people and their supporters across the world to participate in the campaign on July 4 from 4 pm.
