What strategy should the government adopt?

Kuljeet Singh, Investment Banking Partner and Infrastructure Leader, EY India, explained where the government should focus first. According to him, the central government should focus on developing strategies for each infrastructure sub-segment in the first 100 days. Some of the key focus areas of such a plan could be to increase private investment in railways, airports, water and power distribution, where there has been limited private investment recently. Proposals to be included in the immediate agenda include expanding support for electric mobility, facilitating startups, finalising the hydropower policy, addressing digital privacy concerns and implementing the Indian Justice Code, which will replace the Indian Penal Code.

The government will also talk to students for the goal of developed India

Some proposals like the expansion of the Ayushman Bharat health program included in the BJP manifesto may also be included in it. Officials indicated that as per the wish of Prime Minister Modi, there will be extensive public consultation on the Developed India 2047 Agenda for all ministries. This Developed India 2047 Agenda will be presented to the stakeholders. Some of these ideas will become part of the budget.
