New Delhi: After the results of the Lok Sabha elections, the NDA government was formed at the center and Narendra Modi once again became the PM. Narendra Modi has come into action from the very next day of taking oath as PM. In fact, the BJP-led NDA government is currently reviewing its 100-day plan and the goals of Developed India 2047. So that every ministry can be assigned its agenda. Sources told ET that the 100-day agenda prepared by bureaucrats and NITI Aayog officials under the supervision of the Cabinet Secretary was prepared after the announcement of elections. At the same time, a senior government official told ET that these 100-day plans are being placed before the new ministers and if they give any suggestions on them, changes will be made accordingly. At the same time, after the ministers share their views to finalize the plans, there will be a second round of discussion between NITI Aayog and the Cabinet Secretary.

What strategy should the government adopt?

Kuljeet Singh, Investment Banking Partner and Infrastructure Leader, EY India, explained where the government should focus first. According to him, the central government should focus on developing strategies for each infrastructure sub-segment in the first 100 days. Some of the key focus areas of such a plan could be to increase private investment in railways, airports, water and power distribution, where there has been limited private investment recently. Proposals to be included in the immediate agenda include expanding support for electric mobility, facilitating startups, finalising the hydropower policy, addressing digital privacy concerns and implementing the Indian Justice Code, which will replace the Indian Penal Code.

The government will also talk to students for the goal of developed India

Some proposals like the expansion of the Ayushman Bharat health program included in the BJP manifesto may also be included in it. Officials indicated that as per the wish of Prime Minister Modi, there will be extensive public consultation on the Developed India 2047 Agenda for all ministries. This Developed India 2047 Agenda will be presented to the stakeholders. Some of these ideas will become part of the budget. The government wants to include the views of college-going students and a wider section of the society before finalizing the Developed India goals.

Besides, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) has asked other government wings to prepare a 10-day programme plan to promote the Centre's priorities and its work. The first official said the government wants some programmes to be held in the next 10 days to a month and the I&B ministry is seeking views in this regard. The 100-day agenda was finalised during the Lok Sabha elections but some parts are being reworked for consultations.
