New Delhi. India B team has defeated India A team in Duleep Trophy. Team A had to face defeat by 76 runs. In the second innings, only KL Rahul's bat performed well from the A team. Apart from this, no other player could score any significant runs. Players like Shubman Gill, Mayank Agarwal flopped in both the first and second innings. Sarfaraz Khan's brother Mushir Khan was given the Player of the Match award for his brilliant century.
India A, under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, won the toss and decided to bowl first. India B, who came to bat in the first innings, scored 321 runs. Which included 181 runs by Mushir Khan. Apart from this, Navdeep Saini played an innings of 56 runs. Akashdeep took 4 wickets in the first innings. Then India A came to bat in the first innings. India A scored 231 runs after losing 10 wickets. In which 36 runs were extras. In this way, till the first innings, India A was behind by 90 runs.
In the second innings, India B scored 184 runs on the strength of Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant. Pant played an innings of 61 runs. At the same time, Sarfaraz Khan scored 46 runs. Akashdeep took 5 wickets here. That means he took 9 wickets in the entire match. Now India A needed 274 runs to win. But India A could score only 198 runs. KL Rahul scored 57, Riyan Parag scored 31 and Akashdeep scored 43 runs. In the second innings, Yash Dayal took 3, Mukesh Kumar took 2 and Navdeep Saini took 2 wickets.
Musheer and Akashdeep were heroes
Musheer Khan impressed with his batting while playing for India B against India A. He scored a century in his very first Duleep Trophy match. Musheer scored 181 runs in the first innings. He hit 5 sixes and 16 fours in his innings. After the match, he was given the 'Player of the Match' award. Fast bowler Akashdeep took a total of 9 wickets.
