DU Admission 2024: CSAS portal opens for 85 thousand seats, registration has to be done in 6 steps

The race for admission in Delhi University has started. On Tuesday, the DU administration launched the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS 2024). The admission branch has divided the DU admission process into three phases. The first phase started on Tuesday. DU Dean Admissions Prof. Hanita Gandhi said that the registration process has started for regular colleges and Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB). Both of these will be admitted to 71 thousand seats. Apart from this, there will also be supernumerary seats, which together will be around 85 thousand seats.

DU Admission Schedule 2024: Three Stages of Admission

First stage Students have to upload their 12th marks and required documents on the portal.
Second stage When the National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the result of Common Central University Entrance (CUET), DU will start the second phase. In this, students will fill the form for the course and college of their choice.
third step The students will be allotted seats in various colleges and courses on the basis of CUET merit.

DU CSAS Registration: First phase will be completed in 6 steps

To make the three-stage admission process of Delhi University easy, it is important to understand each stage in an easy way. DU officials say that the first stage is just the registration process and is easy. In this, students have to upload their personal information and documents.

The admission branch has advised students to complete the first step by filling the application form (admission.uod.ac.in). Understand the step by step process-

  • step 1: The personal section of the form will be filled. In this, name, photo, signature will be automatically uploaded from the CUET form. Therefore, these cannot be edited. Changes are possible in the rest. Parents' name, category, gender, email ID, mobile number will have to be filled in the form.
  • step 2: Students will have to fill the academic section. In this, they will have to fill the marks obtained in each subject in 12th. Theory and practical marks will have to be filled separately. This information will be useful in checking the eligibility of the course and in tie breaker if two or more students have the same CUET score.
  • step 3: This is for students who want to apply for DU sports and ECA quota (extracurricular activities) seats. The ECA quota is for those who have performed well in activities like sports, dance-music in school. Students have to upload a self-attested copy of the merit/participation certificate as proof. A centralized merit list for these seats will come out separately.
  • step 4: In this step, all the documents have to be uploaded in the certificate form. These include Class 10, Class 12, SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/Minority/CW/Kashmiri Migrant/PWD certificates. OBC-NCL and EWS certificates should be issued after March 31.
  • Step 5: In this step, students will see a preview of their registration form. After seeing this, if they want to make some changes in their form, they will get the option to edit it. No changes can be made after submitting the application form.
  • Sixth step: In this final step, students have to pay the registration fee to submit the CSAS 2024 application form. There will be multiple payment options in the students' dashboard. If the fee is not deposited, the application will not be considered and the seat will not be allotted.
