This incident happened in the year 1986 when the Indian team was about to face Pakistan in the Asia Cup final in Sharjah. Vengsarkar said that along with Dawood Ibrahim, there was also famous actor Mehmood who introduced Dawood to the players of Team India by calling him a big business man. However, when Kapil Dev saw Dawood, he immediately threw him out. Vengsakar had told that actor Mehmood was in our dressing room. Addressing a gathering in Jalgaon in 2013, Dilip Vengsarkar had said, 'Actor Mehmood had introduced us to Dawood. None of us recognized him. But I had seen some of his pictures.
