On Holi, people eat a lot of sweet, fried and junk food, due to which it is necessary to detox the body. To remove the toxins accumulated in the body, people should start the day with cumin water, fennel water, cinnamon water or hot water. People should not drink tea or coffee in the morning. If you drink tea then you should add very little milk and sugar in it.

Dietician says that to detoxify the body, people should walk and exercise in the morning. After this, maximum fruits should be eaten in breakfast. Fruits contain essential nutrients, which will keep the body full of energy and will be helpful in detoxification. You can also eat fruit chaat and oats for breakfast. Eating oats will also benefit the body. Apart from this, you will have to drink plenty of water throughout the day. Drinking adequate amount of water will help flush out toxins from your body. If you want, you can take lemon water in between instead of plain water.

After having light breakfast, people should take green vegetables, light pulses and roti in lunch. Lunch should also be light and should not be too heavy. You can take green tea 2-3 times a day after lunch. Green tea can help in detoxifying the body. You should avoid unhealthy snacks after lunch. After this, eat only porridge for dinner. Porridge contains rich amount of fiber, which cleanses the body. The body gets detoxed by taking high fiber and low calorie foods.
