A Glimpse of Akshardham Temple Delhi
Akshardham Temple was inaugurated on November 6, 2005, and it was constructed by Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha in memory of HH Yogiji Maharaj. The temple is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, and is closed on Mondays. Admission is free at all of Akshardham Temple’s entrance gates.
How to Reach Akshardham Temple by Metro
Reaching Akshardham Temple by metro is convenient. The Akshardham metro station is located just 350 meters from the temple. If you’re traveling from New Delhi, the distance is approximately 12 kilometers, with six interchanges along the way. However, the metro token or pass will only be valid for a single journey. If you’re coming from Old Delhi Railway Station, it may take around 40 to 50 minutes with five interchanges. Akshardham Temple is also approximately 20 kilometers from Indira Gandhi International Airport, reachable after six metro interchanges.
