Delhi Free Coaching Scheme: Delhi government's free coaching scheme for JEE, NEET, 100 seats will be increased for girls


100 seats will be increased for girls in the Delhi government's 'Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vidyarthi Coaching Scheme' from the next session. Education Minister Atishi announced this on Wednesday so that girls can get more opportunities to move forward. These will be additional seats. Under this scheme, students of government schools in Delhi are being given coaching to get admission in engineering and medical institutes. Currently, 300 students from class 9 to class 11 are getting the benefit of the scheme. From the next session, 400 students will get this benefit.

What is the Chief Minister's Talented Student Scheme?

Under the Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vidyarthi Coaching Yojana, students of government schools get coaching for JEE for engineering and NEET for getting a seat in medical. Every year, 300 students of class 9th and 11th are selected for free coaching for JEE and NEET in top coaching institutes.

Education Minister Atishi interacted with students receiving coaching in top coaching centres through this scheme and learned about their experiences. Atishi said that 'children studying in government schools should work hard to fulfill their dreams. The government will not let lack of money come in the way of their dreams. CM Arvind Kejriwal's vision is that every child of every family, whether rich or poor, should move forward and fulfill his dreams of becoming a doctor and engineer. That is why this scheme was started.'

During this conversation, the students told that because of this coaching, now they do not have to worry about the expensive fees of coaching for preparing for medical-engineering. They are able to fully concentrate on their studies. Atishi said that the children enrolled in this scheme are role models for lakhs of children studying in Delhi government schools. We have fulfilled our responsibility, now it is the turn of the students. They should fulfill their dreams and show the world that the children studying in government schools are no less than anyone.

What do the children who benefit from the scheme say?

Sweety Jha, a Class 11 student of SKV Mandavali, said, “I want to become an agriculture engineer. Due to this scheme, I am getting free coaching since Class 9, which is helping me fulfill my dream.” Aarna Jaiswal of ASOSE Sector-11 Rohini said, “Coaching has helped me improve my skills and perform well in studies. My confidence has increased, due to which I recently went to Paris under an exchange program.”

Another student said, I took admission in a government school in 11th. At that time I also wanted to take admission in a coaching centre to prepare for JEE, but the fee was Rs 3 lakh. I want to thank the CM, thanks to whose scheme I have now got a chance to fulfill my dream of becoming an engineer. Pari Rathore, a student of Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Dhaka, said that this scheme has given a chance to move forward to those children who cannot afford expensive coaching fees. This scheme has freed us from the tension of our expensive coaching fees. Aakash Yadav, a student of a government school in Khajuri Khas, has also secured a seat in IIT Delhi this year by taking advantage of this scheme.
