Advance booking of 8.51 crores in India till Wednesday morning
'Deadpool and Wolverine' has earned Rs 8.51 crore from advance booking in India till Thursday morning. Interestingly, the film is doing strong advance booking in English and Hindi as well as Tamil and Telugu. Directed by Shawn Levy, the film is also releasing in 3D, 4DX and IMAX 3D formats, where tickets generally cost Rs 350-800.
The film can earn 18-20 crores in India on the first day
'Deadpool and Wolverine' is the 34th film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is also very special because Hugh Jackman is coming to MCU for the first time with his popular Wolverine character from the 'X-Men' series. This character has a strong fan following. MCU's previous release 'The Marvels' could not make a special mark at the box office. But this time it is not so. Looking at the advance booking figures, it seems that 'Deadpool and Wolverine' can get an opening of Rs 18-20 crore on the first day in India.
'Deadpool 3' to have $350 million worldwide opening
On the other hand, 'Deadpool 3' has created a stir in its home market i.e. North America. Along with America, the film has received bumper advance booking in Canada, New Zealand, Australia and UAE. Therefore, market experts believe that this film has the potential to earn 340 million dollars to 360 million dollars (more than Rs 3000 crores) worldwide on the opening day.
Marvel's third biggest movie after the Corona pandemic
Now, if all the projections prove to be correct, the film will prove to be the third-biggest MCU film post the COVID-19 pandemic, after 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' ($600 million) and 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' ($452 million).
