Curator gave a statement on Kanpur pitch, Bangladesh's problems increased

Kanpur. The Indian team will enter the second test in Kanpur with the intention of whitewashing Bangladesh. The curator of Green Park said on Wednesday that the pitch for the second test between India and Bangladesh will be ideal. Which will help the fast bowlers in the first two sessions and the spinners in the last three days. Jaspreet Bumrah took four wickets in the first innings of the Chennai Test while Ashwin took 6 wickets in the second innings. The curator's statement before entering the Kanpur Test has increased Bangladesh's concern.

The second Test will begin on Friday. “It will be a similar experience to the Chennai match. There will be something for everyone. There will be bounce in the first two sessions and it will be good for batting on the first two days. Then the spinners will play a key role in the last three days,” curator Shiv Kumar told PTI.

India defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs in the first Test played in Chennai. The black soil for the Green Park pitch has been brought as usual from a village near Unnao which is 23 km from Kanpur. Pitches made of black soil traditionally favor spinners while red soil favors fast bowlers. The pitch is expected to be slow.

An official of the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) said, “We get this soil tested from the Indian Institute of Technology. This is a special soil which is black soil found near the pond in the village. We have been bringing black soil from the village for years.”

The UPCA has decided to reduce the use of plastic significantly during the second Test to keep the environment clean. The UPCA has banned plastic plates for serving snacks inside the stadium and only paper plates will be allowed. Stadium director Sanjay Kapoor said, “This is a match to be held at Green Park and we are trying to make it a 'green' match. We have decided to use as little plastic as possible.”
