Congress has released a new list of its star campaigners for the Jammu and Kashmir elections. This list includes 40 big names including party national president Mallikarjun Kharge, former president Sonia Gandhi, leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi. Congress has also included Amethi MP Kishori Lal Sharma in the list of star campaigners. After Sharma's victory in the Lok Sabha elections, his stature in the party has increased significantly.

Himachal Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, former Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi, former Rajasthan Deputy CM Sachin Pilot have also found a place in the list of Congress star campaigners for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. Voting will be held in three phases in Jammu and Kashmir
