New Delhi: India is now preparing to bring soil samples from the Moon. ISRO has said that in 2029 Chandrayaan-4 mission will go to the Moon and bring soil samples from there. This mission will cost approximately Rs 2,104.06 crore. After the success of Chandrayaan-3, India has now started preparing for the next mission. This mission will be very special, preparations for which ISRO has already started.

Chandrayaan-4 mission will have 5 modules

This mission is very important for ISRO because many new technologies developed in India will be used in it. Indian industries will also play an important role in this mission. This mission will create new employment opportunities in India and will also promote technological development. Chandrayaan-4 mission will have five different modules – AM, DM, RM, TM and PM. These modules will be sent into space through two LVM3 rockets.

Will bring soil sample from the surface of the moon

After landing on the Moon, 2-3 kg of soil samples will be collected from around the landing site with the help of the robotic arm mounted on the DM. These samples will be transferred to a container placed in the AM. Apart from this, samples will also be collected from below the surface with the help of drilling machine and they will be kept in a separate container in AM. The containers containing the samples will be sealed to prevent any disturbance during return to Earth. All stages of sample collection will be monitored through video cameras.
