New Delhi: After the alleged bribery case came to light in ICD Customs located in Tughlakabad, Delhi, a similar case has now come to light in ICD Customs located in Bengaluru. Where the CBI has registered a case against a superintendent on charges of acquiring assets disproportionate to his income. At present, the customs officer has not been arrested. The CBI has raided several hideouts of the accused.
The case was registered on September 21.
The CBI said that the name of the superintendent against whom the case has been registered is Ramesh Chandra Tripathi. He was posted as Superintendent in Customs ICD Whitefield, Bengaluru. A case was registered against him on the basis of a complaint received on September 21. In the complaint, the accused was accused of allegedly being involved in bribery. After this, the CBI and the Directorate General of Customs took joint action. Teams of both the departments raided the accused's hideouts. From where the CBI and Customs Vigilance recovered an amount of more than Rs 25 lakh.

CBI found important documents during the search
CBI also searched the house of the accused in Bengaluru. Many important documents were recovered from there. CBI officials say that the matter is being investigated. It is being ascertained which other custom officers and employees are involved in this bribery scandal. If the name of anyone else comes up in this case, action will be taken against him as well.
