New Delhi: The Supreme Court has made strict comments on the bulldozer action. The Supreme Court said that people's safety is paramount. In such a situation, the action of bulldozers on illegal construction in public places will not stop. Religious construction in the middle of the road is wrong. Illegal temples and dargahs will have to be removed. Safety of people is the most important step. The Supreme Court said that any person being accused or guilty cannot be the basis for demolition. Guidelines will be issued for the entire country in this matter. The court reserved its decision on the bulldozer action. The ban on bulldozer action will continue until the decision is taken.

We are not against removal of illegal construction – Supreme Court

The demolition case was heard in the Supreme Court on Tuesday. During this, the Supreme Court said that it will issue guidelines in this matter. Being accused or guilty of any person cannot be a basis for demolition. The apex court said that it is not against the removal of illegal constructions but it will issue guidelines for this. Will issue guidelines regarding demolition: SC

A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on the petition of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind on the bulldozer action going on in many states of the country. The bench of Justice BR Gavai and Justice KV Vishwanathan said that we are a secular country, we will issue guidelines for all citizens. Illegal construction can be done by anyone, Hindu or Muslim. Our instructions will be for everyone, irrespective of religion or community. There will be exemption to remove encroachments only in public places.

Interim order of September 17 will continue – Supreme Court

Justice Gavai said that if there is any religious structure in the middle of the road, be it a temple or a dargah or a gurudwara, it cannot become a hindrance for all. Public safety is paramount. If there is any religious structure in the middle of the road then bulldozer action can be taken. However, time will have to be given for demolition. Not only this, the court has reserved its decision on the bulldozer action. The interim order of September 17 will continue.
