BPSC has given this information by issuing a notice on its official website bpsc.bih.nic.in. In this notice it has been told that “Departmental letter number 34/2024 to 56/2024 published on 20.06.2024 for appointment to a total of 1339 vacant posts of Assistant Professor under 23 departments (specialties) in the medical colleges and hospitals of the state under the Health Department, Bihar is postponed with immediate effect by letter number-649(17), dated 22.07.2024 of the Health Department, Bihar.”

Candidates willing to participate in this recruitment process should have a master's degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant subject from a recognized Indian university or an equivalent qualification from a recognized foreign university. Along with this, candidates were required to pass the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC, CSIR or an equivalent examination like SLET/SET recognized by UGC.
