Apple, a tech giant known for its innovative products, has been diligently working on revamping its iPad Pro accessories, particularly the Magic Keyboard. This exciting development comes straight from the reliable source, Mark Gurman at Bloomberg. In addition to these accessory updates, Apple is gearing up to unveil two new iPad Pro versions in 2024, equipped with the highly anticipated M3 chip and dazzling OLED screens. This marks a significant hardware upgrade for the iPad Pro, the first in six years.

A Sneak Peek into the New Magic Keyboard

In his recent Power On newsletter dated September 3, Mark Gurman unveiled Apple’s plans for a new and improved Magic Keyboard. Set to make its debut alongside the upcoming iPad Pro models, this keyboard is expected to sport a larger trackpad, bringing it closer in resemblance to the beloved Mac. However, the transformation doesn’t stop there.

One of the notable changes is the introduction of an aluminum top case, a departure from previous Magic Keyboards for iPad. This aluminum casing aligns the accessory with the sleek design language of Apple’s current Mac laptops, creating a harmonious and visually appealing ecosystem.

A Weighty Matter

Concerns about added weight due to the aluminum construction have been addressed. Gurman assures us that the shift to aluminum will have an insignificant impact on the keyboard’s weight. However, it’s worth noting that if Apple opts for even more premium materials, this could potentially result in a higher price point. Currently, the Magic Keyboard for the 11-inch iPad Pro is priced at Rs. 29,999, while the 12.9-inch iPad Pro version costs Rs. 33,900.

The Road Ahead: New iPad Pro Models

Gurman’s insights suggest that the updated Magic Keyboard will be launched alongside the 2024 iPad Pro. These next-gen iPad Pros are rumored to feature dazzling 11-inch and 13-inch OLED displays, anticipated to be announced in the latter half of the year. Apple may also introduce newer models of the iPad Air or iPad mini prior to the next iPad Pro release, according to Gurman’s recent report.

Internally codenamed J717, J718, J720, and J721, the upcoming iPad Pro models are expected to be powered by the rumored 3nm M3 chipset. This chipset could offer superior performance and efficiency compared to the 4nm M2 SoCs found in Apple’s current-generation MacBook, iPad, and Mac models.

Apple enthusiasts and tech aficionados alike can look forward to these exciting updates, as Apple continues to push the boundaries of innovation and enhance the iPad Pro experience with cutting-edge accessories and hardware improvements.
