Alia Kashyap called Anant and Radhika's wedding a 'circus' and said- I did not go for self-respect

Aaliyah Kashyap, daughter of film director Anurag Kashyap, has claimed that she was invited to some of the functions of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding but decided not to attend due to 'self respect'. Taking to Instagram, Aaliyah Kashyap, 23, compared the wedding to a 'circus' and claimed that the Ambani family invited some people to this pre-wedding function for PR. Anant Ambani is the younger son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani. The Ambani scion will marry Radhika Merchant, daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant, on July 12 in Mumbai. The Ambani family has already held two pre-wedding events, both of which lasted three days. The first one took place in Jamnagar, which was attended by the likes of Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg

Now Anant and Radhika's pre-wedding rituals are happening between July 12 and July 14. After the sangeet night, there was the haldi ceremony in which many Bollywood celebrities performed. The list of invited guests was long. It included family and friends as well. But Alia Kashyap said that she has decided not to attend the events to which she was invited.

Alia Kashyap wrote on the broadcast channel 'Gup Shub With Kashyap', 'At this point Ambani's wedding has become a circus and not a wedding.' She said, 'I was invited to some events because apparently they were doing PR (???? don't ask me why) but I refused because I wanted to believe that I have a little more self-respect than selling myself for someone's wedding.' She further wrote that people have so much money that they don't know what to do with it. She also wrote that she is keeping an eye on every news related to the wedding on social media.
