AIIMS Doctor Salary: These doctors do not get salary in AIIMS, forced to work without salary

Salary of Foreign Country Doctors in AIIMS: AIIMS doctors have written a letter to the hospital administration demanding salary for foreign resident doctors. AIIMS Resident Doctors Association (RDA) says that when foreign resident doctors have started getting salary in other union territories' center PGI Chandigarh, then AIIMS should also pay salary. However, RDA had raised this issue earlier and now once again a letter has been written to AIIMS Director M Srinivas regarding this issue.

Work equal to Indian doctors but no salary

Doctors from many countries work as resident doctors in AIIMS, they are engaged in treating patients, but they do not get salary. Currently, there are 50 to 60 such foreign resident doctors in AIIMS, most of whom are from Nepal.

According to the information, these people come for PG and training on sponsored seats. They have to do duty like Indian doctors, but they do not get salary. Therefore, now the resident doctors of AIIMS have again raised the problem of their foreign colleagues.

The fight has been going on for 6 years

Resident Doctors Association (RDA) says that this matter came to light in 2018. Then a letter was written to the Ministry of Health demanding to consider it. The matter was related to the center, so apart from AIIMS, this matter was also raised in PGI Chandigarh and JIPMER Puducherry. Later, foreign doctors started getting salary in both these centers. But this matter is still pending in AIIMS. Therefore, once again AIIMS RDA has raised this issue.
