Under the Agniveer, Agneepath scheme, soldiers are deployed in all three wings of the army for four years. Speaking to the media, CM Mohan Yadav said that as per the wish of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to give reservation to Agniveers in the police and armed forces. Reservation for Agniveers in Uttar Pradesh Police and PAC Force

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while talking to the media at his official residence on Friday, said that Agniveers who return after serving the country will be given weightage in UP Police and PAC force. He said that we should take forward Prime Minister Narendra Modi's campaign of army reform considering it paramount for national security. The country will get trained and disciplined young soldiers in the form of Agniveers. Today, youth are joining Agniveers with full enthusiasm. After this, arrangements are being made to accommodate them in paramilitary and civil police.

Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel also tweeted that the confusion being spread by the opposition regarding the Agneepath scheme and Agniveers is absurd and reprehensible. Many new reforms are being made in the Indian Army and internal security system under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Agneepath scheme is also one such initiative. The Indian Army will become more youthful because of the Agniveers. This scheme will prepare such brave youth in the country, who will make an invaluable contribution in strengthening the security system of the country after their service in the army. The Gujarat government will give priority to Agniveers in the recruitment of Armed Police and SRP.
