The bus going to Dhaka was stopped
On Tuesday, a total of 45 Bangladeshi citizens travelling from Kolkata to Bangladesh had to get off a Dhaka-bound bus at Petrapole. Bus services between the two countries have been suspended amid turmoil in the neighbouring country. After the suspension of bus services, the common citizens are facing the most trouble.
These train services were stopped
Railway officials said that all train services between India and Bangladesh have also been suspended indefinitely due to the ongoing protests in Bangladesh. According to the Railway Ministry, Maitree Express, Bandhan Express and Mithali Express have been cancelled due to violent protests in Bangladesh. All these trains operated their last trips in mid-July this year.
Air India, Indigo canceled flights
Air India and IndiGo on Monday cancelled flights to and from Dhaka with immediate effect due to the situation arising after the resignation of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. An Air India spokesperson said in a statement on Monday, “We are constantly monitoring the situation in Bangladesh and our passengers with confirmed bookings to and from Dhaka will be rescheduled and refunded the cancellation charges.”
There are no traffic police on the streets of Dhaka
A day after the fall of the government in Bangladesh, transport in Dhaka has come to a complete standstill. Public and private transport has been completely stopped. Air India special flight takes off from Dhaka
