This is the purpose behind the polygraph test
CBI sources say that the real motive behind conducting a lie detector test on Kolkata Police ASI Anup Dutta is to get information about his proximity to the main accused Sanjay Roy and the night of the incident. Sources say that since the main accused civil volunteer Sanjay Roy lived in the same barrack with the ASI, they were friends. It is said that even on the night of the incident, the main accused Sanjay had called ASI Dutta several times. The CBI suspects that Anup Dutta has something to do with the incident directly or indirectly, which he is hiding. Earlier, the CBI had also interrogated the suspected accused ASI. But till now nothing clear has been found out from him.

In this case, CBI is trying to find out the accused and suspects whom it has interrogated so far through lie detector tests. Is all this being proved true in the polygraph test or not? If not, then what lie did he tell? Through ASI, CBI is trying to gather solid evidence in the case of main accused Sanjay. Recently, ASI fled to CBI office to avoid media questions in Kolkata. Now CBI will conduct his polygraph test. CBI suspects that ASI is hiding some important information from CBI.
CBI will seek advice from expert doctors of AIIMS
On the other hand, CBI did not give any clear answer on Tuesday on whether the DNA report has come or not. However, sources say that CBI has received some DNA reports in this case. To make it more concrete, they will show this report to the expert doctors of Delhi AIIMS and take advice from them. Sources related to the case say that after taking over the investigation of this case on 13 August, CBI has found many evidences against the main accused Sanjay Roy in the investigation done for 15 days. This makes CBI feel that this heinous crime has been committed by accused Sanjay alone, but after claiming to confess his crime in front of Kolkata Police, now the accused is not confessing his crime. In such a situation, it is becoming a challenge for CBI to collect many types of digital and forensic evidence. Which can be presented in the court and an attempt can be made to get maximum punishment against the accused.
But the problem is that from the investigation done so far in this case and the reports coming out, it seems that there is suspicion of more than one accused behind this heinous crime. That is why the CBI is planning to conduct a polygraph test of all the suspects who are somehow connected to this incident.
When will we get answers to these questions?
Solving the mystery of this heinous murder is becoming a big challenge for the CBI as well. The question in the case is that if Sanjay Roy, the only accused in the rape-murder case, was in jail, then why are other people being subjected to polygraph tests and if other people are also found to be involved in the crime, then why are no more arrests being made. Is the CBI waiting for a big 'fish' in this case? Before laying hands on it, the CBI wants to gather solid evidence. So that if it lays hands on it, it can be proved in the court. Apart from the main accused Sanjay Roy, polygraph tests of six suspects including the former principal of the medical college, Sandeep Ghosh, have been conducted. If needed, their brain mapping or narco test can also be done. But before this, the CBI is looking for some specific evidence. For which the CBI is trying various tricks.
