After banks, LIC offices will also remain open on March 30-31, know the timing

New Delhi. In the last week of March, especially on 30th and 31st March, there is a hurry to complete many financial tasks including income tax and bank. But, due to Saturday and Sunday, some work often gets postponed. This year also 30th and 31st March are Saturday and Sunday. Giving relief to crores of people, RBI has directed to keep banks open this Saturday and Sunday. At the same time, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) will also keep its offices open on March 30 and March 31 to facilitate the taxpayers to complete the tax saving process before the end of the current financial year 2023-24.

This step of LIC has come after the announcement of banks in which it was informed that their branches will remain open on Saturday and Sunday. Earlier this month, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had directed banks to keep their designated branches open for government transactions till normal working hours on March 30 and March 31, 2024.

The public sector insurer said that as per the advice of insurance regulator IRDAI, LIC has decided to extend this special measure to policyholders. According to the statement, ''It has been decided that in order to avoid any hardship to the policyholders, the offices under the jurisdiction of 'Zone' and Divisions will be opened for normal operations till official working hours on 30.3.2024 and 31.3.2024 “
