In an interview to NDTV, Soumya told that it took her 30 years to recover from this horrifying incident. That director used to insert a rod in her private part for entertainment. Soumya did not reveal the name of that director but narrated her hair-raising ordeal. Soumya told that she met that director for the first time when she was 18 years old.

'In front of everyone he says she is my daughter, on the other hand he rapes me'

According to Soumya, on one hand, the director considered her as his daughter and on the other hand, he raped her. He kept her as a 'sex slave'. The situation got so bad that later the director started asking her to have a child. Soumya said that she will tell the name of that director to the same special police force which has been formed after the Hema Committee report came out. Currently, this special police force is investigating cases of sexual exploitation and sexual harassment in the Malayalam film industry.

Soumya said that he called me home and did dirty things with me- he raped me

Soumya said, 'One day when the director's wife was not at home, he kissed me and called me his daughter. I was badly shaken. I wanted to tell my friends, but I couldn't. I was ashamed. I felt I had done something wrong and I was being forced to be nice to this man. So I kept going for practice, for dance rehearsals. Every day I would go back and slowly the man started taking advantage of my body. At one point he forced himself on me. He raped me. This went on for a year.'

The director's daughter had also accused him of rape

Soumya also claimed that the director's daughter also accused him of rape, but the director and his wife denied it. According to Soumya, she was scared of the director even during the shooting. She was not at all comfortable with him.
