Amid the uproar over the NEET paper leak, the Ministry of Education has taken a big step. The Ministry of Education has constituted a high-level committee of experts to ensure transparent, smooth and fair conduct of the examinations. The committee will make recommendations on improving the mechanism of the examination process, improving data security protocols and the structure and functioning of the NTA. The committee will submit its report to the ministry within 2 months. The high-level committee will be headed by former ISRO chairman Dr. K Radhakrishnan.

The high level committee constituted by the Ministry of Education also includes six members. Among them is the name of former AIIMS Delhi director Dr. Randeep Guleria. Hyderabad Central University Vice Chancellor Professor BJ Rao has also got a place in the committee. Professor Emeritus of IIT Madras Civil Engineering Department Prof. Ramamurthy is also a member of the committee. Pankaj Bansal, co-founder of People Strong and board member of Karmayogi Bharat, is also included in this committee. IIT Delhi's Dean Student Affairs Prof. Aditya Mittal is also present in this committee. Govind Jaiswal, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Education, has been included as Member Secretary.

The committee will make recommendations on these issues
(I) Improvement in the system of examination process
(A) Analyze the entire testing process and suggest measures to improve the efficiency of the system and prevent any potential violations.
To thoroughly review the NTA protocols, and suggest measures to strengthen these processes/protocols along with monitoring mechanisms to ensure compliance at every level.
(II) Improvement in data security protocols
To evaluate NTA's existing data security processes and protocols and suggest measures for improvement.
To examine the existing security protocols relating to paper-setting and other processes for various examinations and make recommendations to enhance the robustness of the system.
(III) Structure and functioning of NTA
To assess the existing grievance redressal system of NTA, identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to enhance its efficiency.
This committee of the Ministry of Education will submit its report to the Ministry within two months.
