It also said that strong winds (speed reaching 25-35 kmph) are very likely over plains of northwest India during next five days. Meanwhile, heat wave to severe heat wave conditions were observed over most parts of Delhi-Haryana-Chandigarh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh in the last 24 hours. Heat wave conditions persisted over parts of Jammu and Kashmir, North Madhya Pradesh. Heat wave conditions were also observed over Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, North Rajasthan and parts of Vidarbha. Maximum temperatures in most parts are in the range of 44-46°C, which is 4-8°C above normal in these areas.
