The commission says that the state government had appointed an officer named Colonel Vikrant Parashar of the Indian Army's Para High Altitude Warfare School, Gulmarg to the post of SSP (Training) and Special (Operations) in Jammu and Kashmir Police. In this matter, the Commission has ordered the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir to submit the status report in this matter to the Commission by 11 am on October 1. In which detailed explanation should be given about the rationale for issuing the order without taking action. Approval from the Election Commission is required. The Election Commission, in its order given to the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, has said that the Commission has found that the Model Code of Conduct is in force in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Ban on transfer of officers
