Apart from this, the High Court upheld the decision of the single bench, in which the selection list of 6800 candidates of the reserved category was canceled on January 5, 2022. The bench has directed the state government and other concerned officials to complete the process of issuing a new selection list within three months.

The court has said that candidates who take advantage of reservation in “TET” cannot be kept in the unreserved category. Even if they achieve the minimum marks prescribed for the general category. Apart from this, the High Court, while giving relief to the teachers in its order, also clarified that if any assistant teacher currently working is adversely affected while preparing the new selection list, then they should be given the benefit of the current session so that the studies of the students are not disrupted.
