He said that a Gaganyatri of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will travel to the International Space Station (ISS). This will be a joint mission of ISRO, NASA and a private company Axiom Space. ISRO has signed an agreement with Axiom Space for this mission. This mission can be launched from Kennedy Space Center in Florida in August 2024.

An ISRO official said that NASA and Axiom Space have signed an order for the fourth private astronaut mission to the International Space Station. It is unlikely to be launched before August 2024 from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The Gaganyaatris selected for the International Space Mission will be among the four Indian Air Force pilots who are being trained for the Gaganyaan mission.
