Calm the Vata dosha

It is important to avoid spicy, sour and salty foods that can aggravate pitta. It is important to keep the body hydrated, so drinking plenty of water and eating hydrating foods such as fruits and vegetables helps maintain eye moisture and overall health.

Increase your intake of fruits and vegetables

Antioxidant-rich foods, such as green leafy vegetables (spinach, bananas and fenugreek), fruits (berries, oranges and papayas), and herbs and spices (turmeric, coriander and saffron), can prevent oxidative stress, a major cause of cataract formation.
