New Delhi. Legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar turned 75 today. The former captain of Team India, who faced the world's most dangerous fast bowlers in his era, created a world record in his debut series which still stands today. Gavaskar was born on 10 July 1949 in Bombay (now Mumbai), Maharashtra. This right-handed batsman started his international cricket career in the year 1971. The Little Master, who started the Test series against the Windies, then thrashed the dangerous pace attack of the Windies. Gavaskar, who played without a helmet, impressed everyone with his brilliant batting in Port of Spain.
