Anupam Kher informed about this incident on social media and also immediately informed the police. The police have started investigating the matter. The thieves running away with the goods were also captured on CCTV. The incident is of June 19. Anupam Kher has shared a video on his Instagram account, in which he has told how the thieves entered his office and what items they stole. Anupam Kher told that on June 19, two thieves broke into his office located at Veera Desai Road and vandalized it. After this, they stole goods worth about Rs 4.15 lakh. Sharing the video, Anupam Kher wrote, 'Last night two thieves broke two doors of my office located at Veera Desai Road and stole the entire safe from the accounts department (which they probably could not break) and the negatives of a film produced by our company which were in a box. Our office has lodged an FIR and the police have assured that the thieves will be caught very soon, because in the CCTV camera, both of them are seen sitting in an auto with the goods. May God give them wisdom. This video was made by the people of my office before the police arrived.'

Anupam Kher also spoke to ETimes about this and told that the reel that the thieves stole was in a bag. The thieves thought that there might be money in the bag. Those were the reels of the film 'Maine Gandhi ko Kyun Mara'. Anupam Kher further said, 'This is an old building, which has only a few CCTV cameras. From the footage I got, I could see that two people were involved in this. The police have assured me that they will trace them.' Anupam Kher has also filed an FIR.
